By day, I’m a Security Engineer at Royal Terberg Group, where I juggle Awareness, fight off cyber gremlins, and make sure our global systems stay safe and sound. Whether I’m rolling out MFA, poking at vulnerabilities, or keeping ISO 27001 dreams alive, I’m all about smart, secure tech that actually works while and K.I.S.S.
Before that? I climbed the IT ladder the classic way — from helpdesk hero to system wrangler to full-blown cyber guardian. I’ve done my time in desktop support trenches, helped users figure out which cable they kicked loose, and now I run the serious stuff: threat detection, compliance, cloud security… the whole toolkit.
Tools I’m tight with? Microsoft Security, DarkTrace, Qualys, Entra ID, and a healthy dose of common sense. I’m also a big believer in Zero Trust, least privilege — and a good coffee.
Outside of the digital battlefield, you’ll find me road cycling through the Dutch countryside, blowing the saxophone in a bigband, cruising on my motorbike whenever the weather allows, or firing up the BBQ and making sure no one leaves hungry.
